Schlosspark Benrath

The ideal place for a walk, sunbathing or BBQ. The Benrath Palace Park was partly built in the 17th century, the current complex was completed in the 19th century. The area is over 61 hectares and extends from Benrath Palace to the Rhine. 45 hectares of the park are designated as a nature reserve, numerous animals live there. Including more than 80 species of birds and over 300 species of beetles. On sunny days, the locals love to stroll through Schlosspark Benrath. Benrath Palace, the sculptures, the castle pond and beautiful flowers serve as photo background. Wedding couples often come for a photo shoot in the park. In early summer, a proud magnolia next to the palace is a popular motif. At Palace Café you can order breakfast or have coffee and cake, in good weather you can also sit outside. Even in winter, a visit is worthwhile: In December, there is a cozy Christmas Market in front of Benrath Palace.
