Biggest Funfair on the Rhine

Every year, around four million visitors come to the biggest Funfair on the Rhine in Duesseldorf. Freefall tower, Ferris wheel, water slide or roller coaster - ten days on the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen. More than 300 stallholders will be guests here at the invitation of the St. Sebastianus Shooting Club. The panorama directly next to the Rhine and the historic old town scenery is unique. In addition to the rides and the typical funfair fast food, there are also the beer tents in Duesseldorf. Locals and tourists celebrate there live music and freshly tapped Altbeer. In 2018 the famous german Punkband Die Toten Hosen spontaneously appeared here and played their songs.

The funfair is daily opend from friday to sunday the following weekend. On the second fair-friday the highlight - the big fireworks starts in the evening.

Public transport is stepped up to drive the thousands of visitors to the festival meadow, a Rhine ferry connects the Old Town with the funfair. Many roads in neighboring suburb Oberkassel are closed. Parking is only allowed for residents with a corresponding ID. Those who can not go to Duesseldorf without a car should head for one of the Park&Ride car parks, for example at the trade fair. From there, shuttle buses go to the funfair.
