Open Air Cinema

Every year in summer, the Open Air Cinema lures movie-enthusiasts to Duesseldorf. The cinema is located in Rheinpark Golzheim directly on the riverbank. The choice of seats is free, so you should come about two hours before the movie begins, if you want to sit very well. There is a gastronomic offer with drinks such as soft drinks, cocktails or beer and various pasta dishes as well as "Currywurst" with fries.

The highlight is the slow rising of Europe's largest open-air screen to classic film music. Start is after sunset - just after 10 pm. The Open Air Cinema is open to all weather conditions - even when it rains. Rain ponchos are available. Only when strong storms or thunderstorms with an official weather warning of the German Weather Service occur, the show will be cancelled.
