Japanese Temple

Correctly this Duesseldorf Sightseeing Spot is called EKŌ-House of Japanese Culture. There is not only a Japanese Temple - which of course is the highlight of the site - but also Japanese parks and a house with tea room, which was built and furnished in traditional Japanese style. You can visit all this. There are also events such as concerts, Japanese tea ceremonies, Buddhist festivals, theaters or exhibitions. In courses you can learn Japanese arts such as calligraphy, ikebana or ink painting. The EKŌ-House was opened in 1993. Visitors also include many Japanese people who want to live their culture and traditions. How important this place is for the large Japanese community in Dusseldorf also shows its uniqueness. The temple is the only Buddhist temple in Europe.
