Illuminated Nordfriedhof

Every year on November, 1st, Duesseldorf Nordfriedhof - a huge graveyard in the North of the city, is illuminated. The motto: "The Nordfriedhof Cemetery lights up". Numerous special graves, mausoleums and trees as well as entrance and chapel are then illuminated with colored light. There are acoustic concerts and guided tours on the large cemetery, in which, for example, the tombs of prominent Duesseldorf visitors are visited. There is also a special program for children.

It is recommended to bring a flashlight. Although the paths are enlighted with candles it is quite dark.

The entrance is free, also the guided tours.
Note: There are only a few parking spaces. If possible, do not arrive by car.
